The cylce of compressions and breaths in CPR for an adult is a 15 compressions for every 3 breaths b 15 compressions for every one breath c 30 compressions for every 2 breaths d 30 compressions
about how often should you stop and check for signs of life when performing CPR on adult a after the first minute, then every other minute thereafter, b CPR should not be interuppted or stopped until an AED is ready to use, another trained responder takes over or you see an obvious sign of life, c after every minute or every 4 cycles of compression and breath, d after the first minute then not again until EMS arrive

a is c. rescue breaths 4 seconds, b 4, b 15 compressions 1 breath (though I thought it was 15 to 2) check after 1 minute and then keep checking after every 4 cycles of CPR...If that is right, I will pass out. I had it but it was years ago.

The newer protocol is two breaths 30 compressions (23sec) regardless if infant, child or adult. The only difference between age groups is that if you're alone you perform 5 cycles of breaths and compressions before seeking help. An adult its suggested to get help first then compressions if alone. Report It
