Can you tell me at what temperature endodontic instruments are sterilized at dry heat and in autoclave? |
Can you tell me at what temperature endodontic instruments are sterilized at dry heat and in autoclave? I think our autoclave is set at 270 Hummm.... well... 185潞 for 5 minutes will sterilize just about any surgical instrument I can think of if it's medically clean to begin with. But, I'm sure there is a better answer out there. we use a "statum"..steam heat...before using the endodontic tools we also use a bead sterilizer. An old-fashioned endo glass bead/salt sterilizer was set at something like 400 degrees, which killed anything in 10 seconds. Otherwise, see the answers above. |
