Quastion about Autoclave !! plz Help?

we're using the autoclave in dental office
i wanted to adjust the temprature, pressure and time
i rea that the time should be 15 min.
the Q is :
is that 15 min for the whole procedure??
or it's only for sterlizating phase, excluding the heat-up n cooling down phase ??
or only the sterlizing phase ?
plz answer , it's important
even if u know some sites that helps

thanks

15 minutes should be the actual sterilizing time for instruments, after the pressure has built. It doesn't count the time that the pressure is building up or the cool down phase. So it may take 1/2 hour or so to run a load.

Ours is a Tuttenaur (Probably didn't spell that right) and we set the temp at I believe 273. We always run the whole cycle on 35 mintutes, which includes heating up and steriliting. The timer goes off before the autoclave cools down.
