My mom had a blood transfusion before i was born? |
she has not tested postive for aids but im dead afraid i have them im not sexuaxally active but im still scared i have them iv had blood test when i was younger but they were not looking for aids my mom had the blood transfusion like 18 years ago...and im 16 now is it possible doubt it i seriously doubt you are. it was not that widespread back then and as long as it has been she probably would be showing signs by now. I would not worry about it. There are tests you can buy at Walgreen and CVS (and certain WalMarts) that you do at home and mail in. They are expensive but if you are very worried you could try it. But, I would not worry. Hi! I've been in medicine for over 25 years and Please stop worrying about this. I can tell you right now it is a moot point and you have nothing to worry about. Hiv/AIDS testing was going on LONG before you were born and this is NOT an issue. SO forget it and stop making yourself upset. ALL blood has been tested since 1984 for AIDS and all other STDS and other fall out issues. So forget it and get on with your life and stop making a drama over something that is not a problem ok? AND if this was an issue, you would be sick by now and so would your mother. So let it go and get on with your life. M |
