How can a craniotomy patient be taught to do the swollowing?are there any course regarding this?

2 years since craniotomy done.peg feed is being given.toma has been done. understands the commands like open ur mouth.wiht the help of 3, he can walk n climb. bbath is being given in the bathroom n he makes use of the commode . he passes urine when command is given.looks at people talking to him from person to person

This person needs to be evaluated by a Speech therapist/pathologist. they have certain tests they can administer to find out if it is safe for the person to even begin to take anything by mouth. the danger with swallowing problems is that the person can aspirate food or liquids into the lungs and develop pneumonia.
