Tues i get a catscan because i may have had a stroke, what should i insist the do? |
i bit my tongue all up and my memory seems messed up for the past few days. doc didn't even look at tongue. he asked if i wan't to go to hospital . i say it was his call. he set up appt. with an imaging center tues. i just changed docs for apparant indifference. i have had a 4-way bypass and am diabetic. using a cpap. hell, i could be dying and they are so indifferent. did even look at my tongue and it should have had stitches i realize. cannot change doctors every few weeks. they used to be a little kinder and concerned. cold blooded these days. people with attitudes. what advice? You have obviously has a 'transient ischaemic event' or TIA, involving loss of consciousness (in which, self-harm from biting the tongue is common). (Go to the local ER if still bleeding). If your tougue was a problem you could have had them check it and you still can. you need a 3 D MRI .that,s how they found my blockage Have you ever thought that you could have an attitude problem? Good Luck with your scan. You have the right as a patient to ask them to look at your tongue and refuse to leave until they do look at your tongue. You sound very concerned and I would have opted to go into hospital as an in-patient when you were offered=d the chance. |
