I can't seem to get enough sleep. Last night I fell a sleep on the couch at 8p? |
Got up at 10pm, went into bed, fell right back to sleep. I noticed that I was awaking several times throughout the night, but having no trouble going back to sleep. I finally got up around 730am. I'm still tired. My body feels exhausted. I'm trying to focus on work, but my body just doesn't want to function. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea a few months ago, but wearing the CPAP mask is "invasive". I feel too confined and can't wait to get it off in the morning. I haven't been wearing the mask for the past week Your body is probably exhausted from the broken sleep. The amount of hours you get do not matter if your body cannot reach R.E.M. I would suggest asking your doctor if there is an alternative to the CPAP (which I don't think there is) or maybe suggestions on how to cope with wearing it. Good luck and hoping for sweet dreams for you. take a sleeping pill. i have no idea what a CPAP mask is.. medical questions should only be directed to a health care professional, not yahoo answers. wear the mask, I hate it too, but I wear it and sleep fine when I do try going to a whole foods store, or a place that has bunches of natural/organic stuff. i always go to whole foods, and they have at least a hundred of sleeping medications, start out with a vitamin, and work your way up.. doctors dont really know anything, i would go to a organic store they are the best!!! Try staying awake until you absolutely cannot keep your eyes open. Then sleep only until you wake up, get out of bed and do it all over again. Sounds like you are trying to force yourself to sleep according to some artificial time table. Ignore the clock. Sleep when your body wants to sleep. Signs of insomnia! You ought to get back to the sleep rhythm, lest those signs will become a reality! Try tiring yourself well before going to bed so that you might end up having a good sound sleep! It will take time but should eventually work! You're not getting good sleep. You say you keep waking up during the night, that's broken sleep which means you're not getting the deep REM sleep that your body needs to refuel its energy. Go to your doctor and let him/her know your sleep status and that the mask isnt working for you. Good luck and "get some sleep" ;D Wear the mask. You will get used to it. Be patient. I have trouble sleeping to.I can sleep 16 hrs and not be enough LOL..and I might only wake once. |
