CPAP USERS: What should you do when you are suppose to wear your CPAP and you have a head cold?

Nose is stuffed or running...should you skip the CPAP?

Of any time this is one of the most important times to be wearing it.
The cold reduces your ability to take in full breaths of air, so in the day you are getting less oxygen and at night you really suffer.
I know that it's a pain while you have a cold, but the benefits far out way the risks.
If you have a nasal cannula instead of a full face mask then you might consider going to the drug store and purchasing a face mask.
If you have the face mask, and it's just bothersome to wear it during a cold, try to relax and just deal with it. It will benefit you in a faster recovery because you are getting a better nights rest and you body and brain is getting the required oxygen.
Best Regards!
