CPAP machine and hunting?

My husband got a CPAP machine this year and will be going on his annual hunting trip. We were wondering if there is an adapter for the cig lighter in his pickup so that he can have his machine.

Contact the respiratory clinic to find out if there is an adapter. Possibly not since a CPAP runs on 110v and a truck will be 12V.

If he is going hunting with a group of guys one is almost certain to bring a generator for the camp. Ask about this. You can now buy small generators for less than 2-3 hundred dollars and if he goes hunting every year then this would be a wise purchase for a number of reasons besides running the CPAP.

Your home care company can probably provide your husband with a 12V adapter. If not, you can get a power inverter (12V to 120V) that would plug into the cigarette lighter. Check the device to see what it needs for wattage in order to chose an inverter that would be strong enough.
