Crutches at school "Yikes"?

I recently sprained my knee and tomorow will be my 1rst day back at school, but I'm on crutches I can walk almost fine/sort of run but I'm afraid that If I don't use them than my knee will give out or I will get really tired because I get really tired and start to not feel good when I stand on my knee for too long. Do you think I should use them or just wear the brace/ace bandage. I don't have gym but I have to ride the bus and buy lunch. I'm also nervous about what people will say/think to/about me. I also get really tired on crutches

Wear the brace and use one crutch. You put the crutch under the opposite arm of your injured leg. So if you hurt your left knee, use the crutch on the right side or vice versa. DO NOT use it on the same side as the injured knee. That is WRONG. It will give you the stability you need, but not be as annoying. I have been using crutches for years of my life for a bad knee (15 surgeries in 14 years). They suck I know. Good luck.

YOUR HEALTH ALWAYS COMES FIRST!!! Use the crutches if your doctor told you. If not the injury could get worse and you may need surgery. Don't worry about what people may think, most people will feel sympathy for you! If your parents can, ask them to drive you. If not, the crutches will tell people to back off. Walk slow on them and take the elevator if its an option.

If you are suppose to use the crutches then just go ahead and use them, and don't worry about what people think. Just try to limit any extra running around and take some breaks if you need to so you don't get too tired. I've been on crutches several times at school and it hasn't been too bad at all. Most kids are more concerned vs. teasing you or what they think about you.
