Crutches again...?

i had one surgery and i was on crutches for about 8 weeks and the handles (the squishy part) on the crutches what i hold onto started cracking and they get my hands discusting and slimy. well i'm having another surgery in 2 weeks and i have to use the same crutches so what can i do to the handles to make them non slimy and cracked and please don't say towles cause they don't help!

tia

u can go to walmart or the local drug store. They usually sell replacement handles and underarm grips. they cost about 5-10 bucks.

good luck with ur surgery... hopefully it will be ur last and hopefully u recover quickly

Ask for a new pair from the doctor.

I use tennis handle grip tape on my crutches. I have tried other things and found the tennis grip to be the best since it is self-adhesive. It takes one pack for each side.

Try electrical tape, or duct tape. Either one will last a while and isn't sticky or gooey.

What kind of surgery did you have? Get a new set of crutches.
