Can I have my wisdom tooth extraction done in a hospital instead of a dental clinic? |
I visited my dentist and have my tooth x-rayed. The dentist suggested me to have my wisdom tooth extracted there in his clinic. I understand for simple cases *as judged by the dentist, it can be done in a clinic, and only more complicated cases are referred to a hospital. However, i do feel safer having it done in a hospital because of more advanced equipment and experienced surgeon. How do i know whether one's a 'oral surgeon' or just a 'dentist'? A hospital would be ridiculously costly. They may even have less experience pulling wisdom teeth because very few people go to the hospital for that. The hospital is the least hygienic place to perform surgery. |
