Obese and bloated, Wilfred Brimley is the spokesperson for DIABETIC supplies. How responsible is that?

maybe its a pun. it is kinda ironic. no wonder he has type 2. it kinda funny in a weird way, not that hes diabetic but because he's old and overweight.

He is a lot better than he was before. He used to be absolutely massive. Now he is still fat, but he is looking a whole lot better.

so what? Maybe their supplies work for him?

Treating diabetes doesnt mean that you get thin. I know plenty of thin diabetics.

The man has to be 200 year old. He was in his late 70's during the filming of 'Our House' in the mid 1980's. Or at least he appeared to be. No, a layer of blubber is simply par for the course with Wilfred. He has that "average folk' appeal that senors will listen to.

Give him a break though, he is like every ones grandfather. The one that always uses profanity.

what better spokesperson ? someone that will own up to what the complications to obesity are and the results .

also, know that many diabetics are a cause of overweight and some are genetic . there are many thin or too thin diabetics too.
different types to disease / some develop later in life

i worked with someone who developed it as an adult . took about a year to diagnose learn to manage it. she never had any type of a weight problem . though she made it more of a focus to get activity as a way to help control / and learned to pefect eating . it still required insulin and she learned to deal with it . it was a very hard disease though / remember the sickness / problems she would have. stress caused her numbers to change a lot too.

weight / stress , genetics / all play a role in it

i think he is a lovely old fella and the perfect spokes person for that.. people can relate to him because he is real.

Obese and bloated is what we all get when on insulin injections!!!

Take heed and don't forget to do a lot of walking, jogging, or biking every day!!

Why shouldn't the spokesperson for the majority of us LOOK like us instead of model thin and anorexic??? He is representative of how the majority of us look or at least percieve how we look!!!
