Whats the most annoying thing that happens or you see during a doctor visit? |
Ex ; The white piece of paper on the exam table. Like that is going to stop you from a contagious disease. While I wait for the doctor, I use it as tracing paper. They probably use the same piece all day. I hate making appointments. If i make an appointment for 1pm then id like to see the doctor within ten minutes of that time. I dont want to have to wait another half hour just to get into a room, and then another 15 just for the doctor to come in. I know the doctors a busy man/woman but come on its a pain to wait for my whole lunch break. i hate when they have me waiting half an hour for nothing & there just walking around or tolking like there doing something important than they come in making sacastic comments that are not necessary freaks!!! I hate it when I open the little door to put my urine sample cup and there's another cup there. I know it's bound to happen but it just turns my stomach! I hate waiting in the common waiting room, then being brought into the examining room and having to wait again. The doctor that wants to be all chatty during a gyno visit. I don't want to talk, or chat, while you're staring at my crotch. Its uncomfortable enough. When they ignore you and slam that plater glass in your face. Like everything that is wrong rerquires a drug to get over. If they don't know what is wrong they assume you are a head case. That they refuse to acknowledge they don't know everything and won't honor a referral to a Chiropractor. Drives me crazy when he asks me whats wrong. As if i'd be there if i knew ! ! !. I don't think they really use the same sheet of paper on the table all day for everyone. But yeah I agree about the germs. I don't think paper can stop germs from spreading bt then again I am not a scientist. The most annoying thing is not what you see , but what you don't see -- - - the doctor . You wait in the waiting room for what seems hours, then you're put into an examination room, after an eternity , the nurse comes in and takes your temperature and blood pressure - - - - - then you wait , you examine all the intestines pictured on all the walls. You trace the intestines to where your problem is. After what seems like half a day , the doctor comes in and examines your folder , page after page . A very quick look-at and you're on your way. As for the long waits... I'm sorry about it. Sometimes there is a good reason. Frequently someone will come in with a list of 10 things that need to all be addressed in 10 minutes... it's not fair to the other patients out in the waiting room, now is it. But if you say something then you're the bad guy who won't take the time' to address all the concerns (rock and a hard place). Then there's the patient who walks in and tells you he wants to commit suicide... right I'll just wrap that one up in 10 minutes too! And then there's the patient who needs an urgent referral and I have to go and call around to find someone who'll accept them today! I think you get my drift. Stuff happens, things come up that take more time than expected... but if you were the one who was falling apart, wouldn't you want me to take the time to help you out... or should I just say 'times up! out you go!" Let me know who you are so I can stick to the schedule when you come in... come he-- or high water... God Bless. |
