"Shocking" sensations during neurological exam - leg bending/hip flexing test?

I had a neurological exam yesterday, and they did a few maneuvers on me to see how my body would react.

One of the tests they did was to have me bend my leg to 90 degrees at the knee (with both my hip and foot still on the exam table)... to give a better impression, it made my leg form a 45/45/90 triangle with the exam table.

The doctor told me to rest my leg tilted to one side as far as it would go (having me pivot my knee outwards with hip and foot in place) Then, he took my knee, and pushed inward to set it back vertically. He told me to relax during this movement.

I couldn't relax -- When he started to push up on my knee, it felt like there was a tingling, shuddering sensation going up my body. It wasn't painful, just really bizarre.

I can't seem to find anything on the 'net about this. The closest thing I can find is "Kernig's sign", but that is elicited with the shin parallel to the exam table, and foot raised so the shin's like that.

Any input is appreciated!

[EDIT: I should have said "relevant" input... =P]

The only other thing that I can think of is a pinched nerve. If you have a pinched nerve say in the leg and you manipulate the bones and the muscles around it sometimes it can send weird sensations up and down your body.
Hope this has been helpful

Input........

I'm sure you appreciate my answer.
