I Need to quit smoking and nothing is working. Please help...?


I've smoked for over 20 years, but I have a high propensity for blood clots and my doctor is really on my case about quitting. I've tried several times and I get over the nicotine dependency very easily ( I was in the hospital 3 days and had no problem not smoking). My problem is that every facet of my life is linked to having a ciggarette and I'm not in a position to radically change my lifestyle, yet I can't imagine being able to live my daily life without cigerettes. Fro the time I get up until the time I go to bed, everything I do in a day is keyed, timed or associated with a cigarette. Please help. I want to be smoke free but I can't picture my life without cigs.

My husband had a heart attack 4 years ago and I know he still sneaks them once in a while, ,maybe this will help , I gave it up 12 years ago , I just got disgusted with them and crushed the pack and i went on the patch, maybe it worked for me because I wanted it , I didn't give it up because some one was telling me to do so, I use to have a cigerette before my head left the pillow, then one days I noticed my theighs were starting ache, and when I laughed , my laugh ended with a cough, and That sounded totally putred to me, and when a man smokes to many years , you know what goes first? you got it, how would you like to be without that power, I hate to say it but it will happen , it seizes up your ateries, and there no blood flow to that area, you know just for that alone would be a one reason to stop, well anyway I went on the patch and belive me, it wasn't that hard , you have some fight, but the best part is "The urge gets less and less each day, but Believe me, As My Hand is to God , the urge goes completly away...I wish I could help you, I'd love to give you my e-mail, I could be there for you needed someone....

Try this.............instead of buying smokes, buy carrots. try smoking them until u stop smoking!!

easy.... think what you were like 10 years ago.... now think what you will be like in 10 years time, if you keep on smoking. cant finish a sentence, cant walk around the supermarket, cant have good sex, cant move around the house.. a cigarette will always be easy, but what about living a comfortable/ good life. ......i smoked for twenty years, gave up at age 35, now 37. feel soooo much better already !!! smoking sucks, get over that **** !
