Kind of alcohol related, need serious help if anyone can help me!?

What happend: I had 14 beers in one night and had anxiety and 'fog' minded and not feeling normal ever since..

Went to the hospital last week
I was shaking and feeling terrible and had bad anxiety.. my mind was a mess at that time.
they made me take a urine test.. and they checked my blood pressure and what not.. and they explained to me that I'd have to be drinking everyday to be going through alcohol withdrawals... and they didn't really give me a reason to why I'm so messed up mentally.

They prescribed me Seroquel.. which has slowed me right down.. I take them before bed.. and i'm a bit calmer..
I don't want to get addicted to them if they end up helping my situation..

But seriously.. I really don't understand whats going on with me..
I was 100% healthy.. and normal and felt great untill that one drink, January 27th, 2008, my 20th birthday.
I do have a slight past of drinking heavy on weekends.
will I ever be normal again.. ??!! I'm scared of being like this forever.. damn!

went to the doctor two days ago and he didn't like the fact that I was on saroquel and he made me go for blood tests incase its something serious... i'm still awaiting for the results.
I hate this, I want to live a normal life, i'm suppost to head to college in a month.. does anyone have any answers,
I eat so healthy since then, been taking vitamins b12 and omega-3 as the doctor advised.
I exercise regularly..

Thanks all who bothers reading this!

It sounds to me as if the alcohol exacerbated a pre-existing condition. Alcohol will not usually change you permanently like that. I would continue with the medical consultations to work through what may be wrong with you. Stay off the booze, obviously.

14 beers in one night?
darlin, you could have killed yourself. honestly. i really think you are going through a mental break down. i'm not saying this to scare you, i'm saying this because it happened to my mom and she almost died. you ARE going through alchohol withdrawls. this is the same thing that happened to her. i seriously do not suggest going cold turkey right away, but you are going to need some kind of medication to mellow you out so you don't freak out as much. tell your doctor how much you've been drinking, and tell him about your eating habits, etc, how much you've been sleeping, things of that nature. mom wound up on zoloft and a couple of other things, and she's really much better now.

I think the B12 might speed you up (I could be wrong).

Alcohol is like a drug. It affects people differently at different times and the amount of food in your stomach affects it also.

You could have had something else going on at the same time (ie, a drop in blood sugar because beer has a lot of carbs in it)

Talk to the doctor about how long to take the Seroquel and how son can you quit. Tell him that you don't want to take them indefinitely.

The fish oil should be Omega 3 AND 6 to help with the liver. Omega 3 is good for the heart.

The main thing to remember is that anxiety attacks are controllable. You may have an adrenaline rush at an odd time and that would be an anxiety attack. How you react to you will depend on if you can control it or not. Most times, they will pass in a few minutes. If you get alarmed by it, it will last longer and be more intense. It is sorta like being on an amusement ride that you didn't chose to get on.

You will be normal again!!!
