Over 10yrs of constant headaches & no end in sight-help!? |
I've had a headache every minute of every day for just over 10 yrs. It never goes away, I wake up with it and go to bed with it. In this period I've had loads of scans, x-rays, lumbar puncture, blood tests, allergy tests, had wisdom teeth removed, had my sinus cleaned out, seen a dental specialist about my teeth possibly grinding and tried wearing a mouth guard at night, tried massage, accupuncture, accupressure, magnets, chinese herbs, saw a Chiropractor and a Osteopath. I have depression as a result and take 200mg of slow release Tramil twice a day for pain controll which barely does the job. I use to take Panadeine Forte but long term usage saw me taking up to 18 a day. It peaked in 2004 and I was suicidal & spent 2 weeks in hospital. The pain is at the back of the head and neck and all the experts in their various fields can see nothing wrong with me. I don't smoke or drink & tried going off anything with caffeine with no results. Can anyone offer anything new? Have you seen a neurologist? They specialize in head problems. Sounds like you need to see one and perhaps have an MRI and a CAT scan for further diagnosis. Have you tried a cranial osteopath? I too have dealt with pain for about 50 years for a variety of reasons. I also have been dealing with Daily headaches for the last 7 years. i also have tried anything and everything any doctor can think of, from changing my diet to going to the best neurologist in the state. i went to a pain management doctor and he prescribes me narcotics for my pain. it is the best move i ever made i can now go and do the everyday normal tasks that my headaches made impossible before. i don't plan to be on narcotics forever. i try anything new that comes out and until i find something that works. i can still have a normal life. i felt the same way you did hopeless and thinking life is not worth living but now i realize there is allot to live for. My doctor has told me many times because i was worried about the side effects of narcotics, that Dealing With The Pain Is a 100 times worse for you then the bad side effects from the pain killers. All i know is that this works for me, i can have a normal life and i am always searching for the thing that will work but until then i am taking my pain killers. think about it, it mite be a good option for you. Go now to the website: www.theuniversalhealer.com how long have u live at the place Ur in maybe it the paint a certain smell that in Ur house that give u Ur migraine maybe u need imexrin Bad speller it the only one certify for migraines maybe u need a plant maybe u have stale air in Ur house u might needs to get a MRI cscan maybe need change of lifestyle stay stress free maybe a career change go see a specialist maybe need to get a EKG done a test of the brain wave it more deep like a cscan maybe a sleep Ap... test done I have had migraines for 4 years and got fed up with the medical docs so I went to an Iridoligist (study's the eyes) and she gave me some herbs and dietary changes that have fixed the problem.
