Pet Peeves Anyone.......do you think mine are nuts...?!? |
Ok.. so I have these crazy things that drive me crazy... like... When I make the bed or even when I'm sleeping if the blankets get off centered I'll wake up and fix them so there even on both sides and nice and neat. I sometimes count the holes in the ceiling tiles in the hospital or dr. office. I sometimes count the tiles on the floor in the mall. If I walk past something and my leg hits it... I just might have to walk back past it so my other leg hits it... do you think I have OCD??!! hehe... My BF says I"m crazy and he just laughs... but I even have to make sure that like papers are stacked neatly and pencils are sharpened the same length... I'm nutty... anyone else have any wierd habits???!!! It's funny...I have to make sure I'm "even" (like when you described hitting your leg)...and I have other little quirks as well...You could have a mild form of OCD...or...you could be like me and are trying to control your life..which you really feel is out-of-control and you are trying to control it by the little things you do (like the bed sheets, etc)...and counting the holes could just be boredom...(I've done it in Dr's offices when there was nothing else to do during a long wait)...but at any time, any of those become obsessive and you find that it controls everything you do..it's time to see a Dr...otherwise, I'd say you're fine! You are right on the edge. If you were to have some type of break down then you'd be there. Sorry to tell you. well i have to admit that you are very strange. especially the part where you have to have both of your legs have to hit something if 1 of them does. but i don't think that you have O.C.D. you may have some ocd tendencies, but i dont think you have anything to worry about unless they begin to interfere with your life. Sounds like you're obsessive compulsive. Most people don't do things like that. Try having a beer once in awhile to calm the nerves. I think you get bored easily and are a bit of a perfectionist. Chill and try relaxing a bit. And maybe have a mild case of OCD you might want to get that checked cause that can drive you off the wall. It sounds like OCD to me, it is not bad, most people who have it are clean and neat people. You could go see a DR, but if it is not causing you any problems, dint worry. Everyone has some level of OCD. When it gets to the point that you HAVE to do something (like hitting an object with both legs), then you have a problem. Most people's are so mild they never notice it. These are some very common OCD behaviours. Yes you have querky weird habits but not bad enough to have OCD. If you had it then your daily functioning would be impaired greatly. you are soooooo OCD! People getting really close to me when we are talking, you know close enough to smell their breath, I keep backing away and they keep moving closer! Drives me nuts! Also anything touching my face. waking up 5 minutes before the alarm clock goes off! No...you are NOT nuts...what bothers us...simply BOTHERS us...LOL...mine...slow drivers in the fast lane!!! People who take 10 minutes in the checkout line to write a freaking check!!! people who stop in the road..to enter the turning lanes!!! You are definitely nutty and have OCD...seek treatment before it gets any worse....Im serious. I used to gold witha guy who had to address the ball 5 times (not more not less) before he hit it. If you interrupted him he had to start over. I quit playing with him no i don,t think your crazy. it sounds like you maybe obsessive compulsive and any mental illness has a cause, chemical , biological. not crazy. if your bf thinks you are crazy ask him why he is with you. what does that say about his mental stated. Just work on your problems and take your meds and things do get better, they do take time and energy but results are out there to be had. good luck .....jinne |
