I have recently finished hep c treatment.didnt work and now have multiple illnesses, anyone else? |
anemia.inflammation of multiple joints especially the hands, very painful+swollen feet knees from water retention, chronic fatigue.need painkillers and anti-infammatory to get out of bed.depression, memory loss , confusion still. treatment finished a year ago. lots of avoidance from hospital no diagnosis just politics and me the victim. Try this info here for stopping hep C the medications for antiviral chemotherapy will aggrivate your HCV. what your experiencing is hepatitis c. It took me about 2 1/2 years to feel like myself after treatment. Hep c is a disease with extrahepatic manifestations, as Stephy said in the previous response. The swollen feet and legs can be a sign of your liver not functioning properly. I also had joint pain before and after treatment. Oddly enough, during treatment the joint pain subsided. Everyone is different, this disease affects everyone in different ways. Other diseases can also take advantage of your weakened immune system and emerge as a result of the virus. Rhuematoid arthritis is one of those, and there are others. I'm sorry you've had such a hard time and did not respond. Hopefully your liver will have some histologic improvement as a result. Research has shown that to happen even in people who do not respond to the meds. Hang in there, try to drink lots of water as Stephy recommended, walk a little to help the joint pain, and watch the pain killers; they often contain acetominophen which when taken in larger doses can cause liver damage. Let all your doctors know what meds you're on so they can all watch your liver. Best wishes. |
