Help please lock jaw? |
I went the dentist in October because my jaw lock and they refeared me to the dental hospital where i have had a gum shild fitted to where of a night when in bed and i am also having psyho but its mad no diffrence at all and it really starting to bug me now i can olnt open my month about 1/2 a cm to 1 cm and i have been like this since Oct i have got a scan st then end of the month on my jaw but im scared that theres gonna be somethink really wrong ie cancer of the jaw or somethink anyone ever had this an how long did it last with you and what did you have to get gone about it? http://www.tmjoints.org/ i dont think there will be much wrong, when did it happen was it after a filling or something when u had anasthetic? its probably just a muscle inflammation, an anti-inflammatory drug should help...its a slow process tho It is probably a muscle spasm. It sure does not sound like any type of cancer. You can try putting a warm compress on the side that is locked, to loosen the muscles. You need a 2nd opinion. Six months is WAY too long to be dealing with that. |
