Looking for help for a quadroplegic man who has lost his legs two times.?

I have a friend who is 55 years old and he has been a quadroplegic for over 25 years and just recently he was hospitalized due to a very poor health care keeper. He stayed in the hospital for 3 1/2 months leaving his posessions including his Jazzie chair in the care of a so called friend. He was released from the hospital and was sent to a low life motel to recover bed. Confined to his bed he wasn't able to get back out to his home to see that his belongings were still in order, Only to find that most of his belongings including his Jazzie Chair had been stolen by his "so called friend" That chair has been the closes thing to working legs that he has had. I was just wondering if anybody out there could tell me a charity or some other place that I might be able to get him another chair. He is unable to spend the $6000 it cost to replace it and I dont think his medicare will pay for another one for him. I would appreciate any help given. Thank you and God Bless!

Is there anyway he can file a police report. If he "FRIEND" ripped him off while the poor guy was laying in the hospital he deserves to be locked up. Plus with the police report stating the the chair was stolen the insurance company may buy him a new one

Try your local churches.

Yeah, call the cops. And tell him not to feel bad...I can't get a mobility scooter even though I can't feel my feet or legs because of diabetic neuropathy, and I don't have Medicare or any other insurance.
