Why couldn't I move my neck, I randomly woke up and couldn't move my neck one morning. What's it called?

I woke up one morning and was shocked because I couldn't move my neck. I could barley get out of bed and even get dressed. I was taken to the hospital, then ex-ray'ed to see what the problem was. I remember that they didn't find anything, maybe they did I can't remember. But they gave me this medicine and later it went away. But sometimes, when I swing my neck or roll it, it like pop's and it burns. It stings. I can't remember what it's called if you can't move your neck, and I know you can die from it. I randomly woke up and couldn't move my neck. But the evening before I was pogo-sticking. You know, did that have something to do with it?

hmm not sure but i have had a crick(sp?) in my neck. it hurts its stiff and you cant really move it. maybe you slept on it wrong.

you probably were using too many or not enough pillows...use 2 puffy pillows

Well i am not for sure here....my step-dad is a chiropractor and me and my brothers get adjusted and we have stupid special pillows....so i really never wake up with my neck hurting....maybe you slept the wrong way (neck turned a different way that makes it hurt the next morning)....

you should use a medicated pillow... your problem seems to be cervical spondylitis.. better see a rheumatologist .. physiotherapy is the only solution
