I am soooo terrified about this MRSA staph infection that seems to be everywhere!??? |
I have just been informed that there is a confirmed case of the anti-biotic strain of this very scarey staph infection in my children's school. We have preached the hand washing and provided them with hand sanitizer to use in addition to (not in place of), they bathe daily, and I've now resorted to changing bed linen daily as they would in a hospital. Is there anything else I can do to ensure their safety?? We have told them not to share drinks, and not to give hugs (my daughter is a very loving little girl). They are only 9, 7 & 6, and I know I have to remind them constantly at home to wash their hands after wiping their nose, going to the bathroom or before eating, etc. how am I to protect them while they are at school when I cannot remind them and this infection has been found??? Is anyone else facing this at their school??? Am I over re-acting?? I'm just soooo worried about them. Please serious answers only!!! Errrr - I meant antibiotic resistant strain of the infection. i know how your feeling. i got a common MRSA staph infection. i was scared as hell when i got it i thought i'm only 17 am i gonna die this early! here let me explain to you the basics about this "super bug" that's going around. we have this natural immune system this alone should of been able to kill the MRSA staph my dad and grampa both got it when they wheir young and their still alive and kickin till this day. that's because both of their generations weren't dependent on anti-biotics like this new generation (mine and your kids) because we use anti-biotics on practically every sickness (inclueding the common cold) our bodies grew more dependent on the anti-biotics. this microscaphic creature learned how to make it's self immune to any anti-biotic the doctors throw at it. your doing a good job cleaning their sheets everyday. but if want to help your kids please please please don't give your kids anti-biotics for simple sicknesses like a cold or fever ect. only if it's worst case sanario. one of the reasons there is so much MRSA is because parents insist on using every anti bacterial product known to man,,, your kids need bacteria so they can build up an immune system to it... oh its in my school too :[ |
