Medical advice please this is urgent? |
My Mother has been experiencing pins and needles like sensations in numerous parts of her body for the past year now. She has just recently turned 43. It started when we moved last February she first described the tingling sensation in her big toe on her right foot several weeks later this had spread through both feet and then into her legs and eventually her hands. However it sometimes varies some days her hands would be fine and somedays her feet would be ok but allof a sudden today she has it in her back and well basically all over. She is also sweating heavilly, she has seen a doctor numerous times and they keep claiming she will go for a scan but to no avail. She is in a great deal of pain and can not get out of bed. My Father will take her to Hospital tomorrow. Im worried it could be serious Thank you for all your answers they have really helped It sounds like a pinched nerve somewhere. It could have actually started from the move. I think it's best if she goes to her doctor and finds out. The tingling is a sure sign of a pinched nerve, ruptured disk, something along those lines. It will be okay. I'll be praying for your family! :D Here is a link http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/p/pinched_... Sounds like a pinched nerve. Needs her heart checking now *I AM NOT A DOCTOR* it sounds like she has poor circulation which may be a symptom for a number of things yeah it'll be wise to take her to the doctor Check for diabetics If you are really worried it is that serious, call the paramedics. If she's taken in by them then there is a high chance the ER will organise scans and other tests right away instead of waiting and giving you the runabout. If you think she can make it till tomorrow okay though, then wait if you choose to, but maybe 911 is the best option in this case, or the ambulance non-emergency number if it isn't too serious. Good luck and I hope the problem is figured out fast, she gets treated fast, and she feels better fast! I agree with Mom of 2 Great Boys & Silly World. There is something wrong here with your Mom's health. It's so refreshing to see that one of her children loves her so much, that they'd search the world for an answer!Godspeed. sorry to say ur mother might be having neuropathy or problem in spine or gastritis or some kind of mental illneess..first of all whole history of pt is very imp.i can give u a provisional diagnosis.master check up should be done.i m a docter so whatever i read acc to that i gave u a suggestion. It sounds like a spinal injury. The nerves in the spine affect the whole body and when compressed, (pinched), often have a tingling pins-and-needles sensation. She might have suffered a lower back injury and it's time for a cat scan. I'm no professional, but I do know a lot of women in her age group who suffer from some of the same symptoms. I am not a doctor, but I have RSD (also known as CRPS) and fibromialgia. With RSD you get hypersensitivity, extra sweating, pins and needles etc. The pain is awful. Look up both and chk symptoms to what your mom is experiencing. Best of luck. Feel free to e-mail me questions. |
