Should I say something to him?

(I posted this is the dating section too) A really good friend of mine is trying to get this girl with Leukemia to date him. He's 17 and all he thinks about is this girl. Writes her letters constantly, brings her flowers every day, sleeps by her bed when she is in the hospital, visits her parents when she's not home, hangs out with her little brother (my friend's like a role model to him), and his life revolves around this girl. The problem is that she doesn't have long left and I know that he is going to be so devistated if she dies....this girl really loves him too but doesn't want to be with him because she doesn't want it to hurt him too much if something happens to her.....I don't want to see my friend go through this....do I have the right to interfere? Do I have the right to say something to him? What should I do? He's getting sick because he is up all night, or her doesn't sleep...he skips school and has lost his job....I need help with this..Please tell me what to do...

He hasn't necessarily said that he wanted to date her.....but he's just always there. I feel awful because I once saw him crying at the edge of her bed in the hospital while he held her hand....He's the only friend that she has though....they just happened to meet at the hospital while he was walking through to visit his uncle (who had surgery at the time)
I wish that they never met...is that wrong?

It's not wrong of you to be concerned about your friend. it is obvious that you care a great deal about him. Dealing with diseases is a very difficult thing for people, especially people you have a strong connection to. I think that no matter what you say to your friend, he will always be trying to be there for the girl and her family, but I also believe that it will be easier on him after she passes. Simply because, deep down, he will know that he was there for her, and her last days may have been a lot brighter because of his care and friendship. It's okay to let him know how you see the situation too. Just try to be supportive, because he must really not want to let her down.

you could try talking to him about it..or just let him be close to her for as long as he can. if he really luvs her that much...maybe just tellin him wat you think and let him deside wat to do.

What he is doing is ok as far as being with her all he can. But....he should stop the school skip.
After she is gone, hopefully he will not find another type of situation like this in a girlfriend..it is awful to say, but I know what I am talking about here from personal experience.

If his family can support him ok, the job search can wait till he is out of school hopefully.

He will probably be more hurt and suffering more if he wasn't there when she passes away.

For both of them, let them be together and have them not be upset when they're together. Let them think of good stuff when they're together.

He shouldn't think about dating her as of right now , I think he should just be by her side all the time no matter what happens

he probably knows whats going on,just go with the flow and what happens happens,it,s not your fault don't feel guilty about it
