Hospitalised type mattress covers?

I'm trying to hunt down the name of them 'rubberised/PVC' (Whatever they are), waterproof mattress covers which are used in Hospitals to prevent bed wetting.

Does anyone know the name of them and know where you can get these within the UK?

Kind Regards,

Danny.

check out this site, they sell several different types. www.healthylivingdirect.com or most chemists sell plain plastic covers, if its for older people the latter is not recommended

i was lookin for ages and eventually found 1 in the pound stop and sometimes the 99p shop has them.. other than that sorry i dont know.. may be an idea to try mothercare

You could try NHS direct, sorry I don't have the phone number but your Local Doctors Surgery may be able to help. If it is wanted for the care of an elderly or incapacitated patient you may be entitled to get them on the NHS.

Hi Danny

OroMed may be able to help you here, they are a UK provider of Hospital, Residential and Care Home beds, furniture and they do provide the sheets and pillow cases to match all these beds.

You can call them on +44 01753 891544 or email them on maria@oromedhealthcare.com. I am not sure if they just supply sheets, however, they could be a good start for you, they may have contacts in this field, they work with the NHS also.

You can tell them Simone suggested you give them a try, if you do not want to call, visit their website
