My friend and I need help ASAP! I will include details below. Her husband is in the hospital dying of.....?

My friends husband is dying of agent orange lung cancer, he is in hospice care in a local hospital. With all the complications involved, he got out of his bed and hit the floor and broke his hip.

Her mother is suffering from alzheimers disease, a broken back and she also hit the floor and broke her hip the next day after my friends husband did.

Now my friend has been taking care of both of them at her home for the last 2 years. Now that Barry is dying and her mom is in a rest home, she finds it impossible to be driving, to and from with
all the other responsibilities she has.

My question is: What would be the hourly rate of an LVN in-house caregiver in So. CA? Also, how do I find a qualified person to meet the needs of her Mom?

We have never faced this before, so we are asking for help, we have no clue where to start. Finally, her mom only has so long in the nursing home (2 weeks) before Susan has to move her. I can go but I will stop. thanks

Some times you an call a local agency for help or the Disablity and veteran service for more help with LVNs.

call your county health office for a list of qualified people.

I'm not sure on the prices in So-Cal, my girlfriend works in a hospice home as a CMA working towards her RN.

I suggest putting an ad in the paper, I see them alot around here and they usually always get answered quite quickly.

On pay, I really would have no clue, hopefully this helps a little.

Chris
