When you got to hospital to have your toncills out what do i expect to happen.?

what should i wear when i first arive what do i wear there what happens after the procedure, how do you go to the toilet before your let out of bed again, how long are you under general anaesthesia how long are you in hospital and are there any times the doctors will see you in your underwear or nude and what hapens for a shower.

i might be getting mine out never been to hospital over night or longer than a few hours or even under general anaesthesia.

just wanna know what to expect and what sites i can fnd this info if any sites.

You will receive information on how to prepare your child for the operation in his or her admission letter. You will need to come to Peter Pan Ward the day before, or the morning of the operation, to meet the team who will be looking after your child. The doctors will also need to see you to explain the operation in more detail, discuss any worries you may have and ask you to sign a consent form. If your child has any medical problems, such as allergies, please tell the doctors. An anaesthetist will also visit you to explain your child鈥檚 anaesthetic in more detail.

I had mine out about 20 years ago in the UK, nut I will tell you what I know.

It does not matter what you wear into hospital because they will put you in one of their lovely gowns to go to the operation. After you wake up they like you to come around for a while before they try you with some water and toast.

You can go to the toilet almost straight away either on your own or with help.

You are not in hospital long it used to be a week or until you have drunk two jugs of water in a day now I think it is about 2-3 days.

No the doctors will not see you nude and they have a bathroom/shower room with a lock that you can use.
