Does Medicare help pay for the cost of purchase or rental of hospital type adjustable single beds ? Thanks !? |
I am almost 88 years old, have pretty bad arthritus, and suffer intermittasntly from sciatica and swollen legs, which diuretics do not relieve. I am pretty sure my doctor would give me a prescription for such a bed, but feel I could not bear the entire cost myself. I also have supplemental medical insurance, and it's possible there would be some help there financially. Medicare will pay at least a portion of the cost for an adjustable bed that you absolutely have to use. Your Doctor needs to write a prescription and you need to request that the seller assist you with the paperwork. If they do not know how to obtain it or help you, find somewhere else to purchase your adjustable bed. |
