Should we go to the hospital? |
ok so my sister just slammed my dad's finger in the car door... the door closed all the way and my sister didn't open the door... she just sat inside the car (my sister is 5 and she should REALLY know better than to slam doors... she was sitting there repeatedly slamming the door when my dad reached in to stop her... you can picture the rest) anyway my sister sat there and my dad couldn't get the door open... finally i heard his scrreams and ran into the garage... anyway my question is should we take him to the hospital?? he is laying in bed now and had ice, but it looks like the finger nail is turning blck... what should we do??? can he move his finger? if it's just the tip, he should be fine with an ice pack and some otc pain meds. yes -go to casualty- the bolld supply could be compromised u should go to the hospital it sounds really bad perhaps not an er, but if there is an urgent care clinic around you they can help manage the pain. If his finger is turning blue or black, like there is no blood flow...then yeah, you should probably go to the doctor... if no bones are broke he will be alright, just pain,he needs to drill a hole in his fingernail to relieve the presher, that will make it feel better. Go to the ER...may be broken .. yes you should take him to the hospital..it sounds like it might be broken..as for your little sister i hope she gets in big trouble for this Go to the hospital-that finger may be broken. Ice it beforehand. |
