If someone is admitted into the hospital for testing, can they bring their laptop and access the internet? |
Just wondering if patients that are in the hospital are able to use their laptops and get online without interfering with medical equipment. I know cell phones aren't allowed, but not sure about computers. I want to know so I can have my own resources for researching whatever they tell me is wrong and so i can communicate with my family and friends. When my son had a stroke and was in icu they brought us a laptop into the room for us to research his type of stroke but you could email and everything on it . Might be different where your at call the hospital they will tell . Your stuff can get stolen...can't you do without for a few days??? I've been told by doctors that you shouldn't bring anything more then is necessary when you come to a hospital. Yea I have seen bring in laptops to use and if they are in for an extened period They have family bring in DVDs so they can watch movies.Cell phones are also allowed where I work in the rooms,we do have phones in rooms but only local calls are allowed and with a lot of folks coming in from other towns this allows them to keep in contact with family. |
