Do high temperature kill HIV virus? |
In some hospitals, equipment are sterilized by using high temperatures. But is this effective in killing the HIV virus on hospital equipment? Yes. The machines often used are "autoclave machines". They are proven to kill viruses incl HIV. I don't think so, I think its a combination of high tem. and certain chemicals which includes bleach...but who knows...we will all find out one day, maybe 20 years from now someone will know the real answer to this question... Dont know about the virus but high temperature will certainly kill the person suffering from hiv. HIV cannot survive outside of the body for more than a few seconds.... so chances are good that it is already "dead" when it goes into the autoclave. but the hight temperatures would certainly do it. |
