Why haven't I had a period in three months?

I have NOT had a period in THREE MONTHS! No i'm NOT PREGNANT! I'm almost 40 years old and had my tubes cut, burned AND tied when I was 24 years old. Right after my last period (about 3 months ago) I got sick. I was really nautious and extremely dizzy. I thought it would go away so I dealt with it for about a month before going to the hospital. When I finally went to the hospital (about 2 months ago) the doctors diagnosed me with "SINUSITUS" and "SEVERE CAT ALLERGIES". I was givin two medications. (a one month supply). The meds have been gone for about a month and I STILL haven't had a period. Could this be due to the illness? The medications? An extremely early case of MENAPAUSE? Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the "NO PERIOD THING" but I would still like to know what the heck is going on with me. I feel fine now but still no period. What do you think? I'm NOT medically covered so I will NOT go to a doctor or a hospital unless I feel like I'm in SERIOUS NEED of medical attention.

menopause?

The allergy medicine can affect you in some ways. Most allergy medications are of a saturation type, which means they don['t work right away, the pill you take today works tomorrow, tomorrows pill works the next day and so forth. The medication could still be in your body, but i doubt it if it has been a month since you last took it. Stress can cause you to miss your period and other factors to, but i think that if it goes on much longer you should really go and see your doctor. good luck

Allot of things can cause that. You may be under an unusual amount of stress,or going through Menopause early. It could be an infection. There are allot of things that can cause you to miss your period. If it continues any longer then it could be something serious and needs medical attention.Health care plan or not,it'll cost you much more if it turns into something serious than it would if you caught it early.

in my opinion, I think this IS a serious need of medical attention. Go to the hospital, the last thing u need is for something to be really wrong and they can't help you once its too late.

There can be many reasons for a skipped or late period. Stress, worry, illness, medications. Hormone levels can decrease temporarily for any of those reasons. The average age when menstruation stops is supposedly 52 but any age after forty is considered normal and for a few women menopause occurs in their late thirties. However if periods stop before the mid forties, it is important to have a medical evaluation to find out the cause. You really should go see your doctor about this.

I've been nauseous and dizzy right before my period because I had been doing too much and I couldn't menstrate. If I don't get enough fluid I simply cannot do it. And getting started is the hardest part.
Whenever I got sinusitis I was really rundown and I had been overdoing it. I didn't get a cold, and bloat and swell I just got inflammation and I felt irritable. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't do much of anything. I really needed to get fluids and come down off that high. To put it bluntly, it's a real bummer.
It's all too easy to get strung-out, and it can be really hard to bring it down without just crashing. It's never a good idea to think we enjoy not having our period. It's either one or the other. You still got it and you're going to do it and you're just going to have to get on with it. You don't skip around the bad parts because they're inconvenient or you just can't fit it into your schedule.
Are you getting your B vitamins? Are you eating your vegetables? Are you constipated? That's another clear sign of dehydration. Can you get a good night's sleep? Do you eat healthy or do you just eat out because it's fast? Do you crave junk food?
Do you always have allergies this severely? If not, what do you think contributed to such a spike in your normal routine? Something is going on here you should have noticed it right away, not 3 months later.
