Bacterial Vaginosis Question..Doctor?

I heard alot about the Probiotic capsuls and mixing with Yogurt to help with BV....So iv started doing this. BUT two days ago i came down with strep throat and the doc gave me Antibiotics....

Is taking probiotics AND antibiotics at the same time just going to off set both pills? Is it bad to be taking both at the same time?

Taking probiotics ie. lactobacillus, eating yogourt with live culture along with antibiotics is a very good thing. The antibiotics will destroy or render useless the Strep bacterial along with other good bacteria in your body. Taking the probiotic will replace what is lost to prevent bacterial and yeast overgrowth to hopefully prevent other problems.

The actions between the probiotics and the antibiotics will not work against each other as you fear. Take your prescription until it is finished and I would continue on the probiotics for awhile after to be safe.
