Just had a baby... no period yet.? |
I gave birth to my daughter on September 4th. During delivery the placenta didn't want to detatch itself from my body, my midwife trie dto give the umbilical cord a gentle tug to detatch it but it broke off. needless to say I started to bleed and had my midwifes hand and about 6 inches of her arm up inside me trying to get it to let go( to avoid surgery). She was able to get it to detatch and everything was fine( they sent the placenta out for evaluation) they gave me 3 rounds of an IV antibiotic and I left the hospital 24 hours after birth ( I have 2 other children at home) Left over material happens ... it's like a cell that begins to develop, but never has all the genetic material to become a child ..... while it's still there your body will think your pregnant .... they have to do a DNC to remove the material .... then things will return to normal .... No worries luv. no but i only bleed for 3 days after my third baby I'm sure if it was anything serious or something you should be the least bit worried about, your gyno would definetly let you know. Remember that everyone gives birth differently and our bodies all respond in a very different manner. If the problem or discomfort still does not go away, go back and get checked out again. I wish you luck! No and I would opt to have it removed surgically if necessary. Don't let it remain, could cause serious infection. Since the meds did not work, go back to the ob-gyn and tell him you want it removed ASAP. i had to have a vontouse (suction cap) delivery with my son and was in hospital for 5 days afterwards because my uterus would not contract either and my periods did not start again till my son was 3 months old No - but have known people with similar probs, did they mention a D&C or something. if not happy ask for 2ns opinion, your womb might need a proper clean out. Hope you much better very soon sweet. You should go back to the Gynecologist or see a Doctor on this. I had a similar problem when i had my son. All of the placenta did not discharge at at same time. So after I had the delivery the Sister on the ward had an ultrasound done and the doctor give me some tablets and everything was fine after that. The end result of it is that you have to be careful its not poisonous. |
