Does a MRSA staph infection ever go away?

I got it a year ago when I was bit by a brown recluse spider. I was treated with iv antibiotics for two weeks. My immune system is awful now. I get sick all the time. Does it stay in your system?

My doctor says that I'm resistant to normal antibiotics now. I am also a diabetic.

The strong antibiotics you had to have to treat the infection could have done some damage to the beneficial bacterias in your body as well. Talk to your doctor about how you are feeling now, have them do tests, and try a probiotic diet for a while to see how you feel after that.

MRSA does not make your immune system bad, you probably got it in a hospital. Many physicians believe once infected, the patients carry it in the nostrils for life.
