I was treated for pelvic inflamation disease? |
and the doctor ran blood test they where all fine my urine was cloudy pelvic altrasound showed nothing wrong. But the ER doctor did a pelvic exam and said my cervics was a bit red and I had some discharge did some cultures gave me some iv antibiotics . Also said the cultures are makeing sure for no STD the thin is I was healthy right up till now had testing in past was neg and I just got married in Sep and bam I am ill could my husband be a carrier for an STD and wouldn't these things show up in blood work? I am a reck and do not get results until thursday. The ER doc said also may not be an STD that it could be a vaginal strep someone help!!!!!!!! ER docs are not the best people to get care from regarding these issues. I'm assumeing you have not money and ended up there for a reason. You may want to go to a free clinic in your area or a planned parenthood (they charge you by how much you make). It could be any kind of infection cousing PID. Your husband should aslo see a doctor right away. He could have something from a very long time ago. Males do not always have symptoms from STDs and I'm not sure, but I don't think they all come up on blood work. Go see a doctor together to talk it out and try not to come to any conclutions until you have results. Don't worry about who gave who what, just get healthy right now. Sort the rest out latter. I was having symtpoms that appeared like pid but did go away on their own and my blood work and urine came back fine. My doctor did say they can help rule out pid from blood work if it shows no sign of infection but that could also be a later stage of pid. Also it is rarier than an std causing pid but pid can be caused by other factors not related to an std. They should have tested you for chlamydia since that is a big one that causes pid. Your husband should also get tested too to make sure. They do sometimes treat things that seem like pid just to be safe. I would go to the gyno and get checked again. Also most likely this would have appeared before assuming you've been with your husband a while unless he was cheating but your best bet is to get checked again. |
