okay this may be a bit long but if anyone knows somthing that may help please answer. okay 2 years ago i had surgery on my back to remove a tupor 2 weeks later it was infected and they had to open it and drain the infection i had ppacking for 9 months and IV antibiotics for 3 weeks and it cleared up leaving a huge scar.
well on febuary 14 this year my surgeon went in and revised the scar and told me to leave the stiches in for 14 days well on febuary 27 i was in a major caraccident i stopped for a fire truck blocking the road and 3 vehicles rear ended me in seprate impacts one going 70 km/hr well my stiches poped and my icision opened up in some places. went to doc nothing wrong just keep it dry 2 days later see GP and it is infected on oral antibiotics, doesnt work go to hospital because i spike a fever and have swelling and redness around site, put on iv andtibiotics 3 days now and it is still red and swolllen and hot and painfull and serlling has gone up neck. what do i do?

You have a severe infection. Fever, infected wound site, redness and the fact that it is spreading up the neck is not good. With the anti biotics you have had, you should be feeling better, not worse. Get to an emergency room and I'd think about switching doctors.

You need to call your physician immediately. There is no home remedy available for you and your condition is extreme. Please don't delay.

I'm so sorry! Get well soon.
