I think iv got a kidney infection and im 37+4 wks pregnant? |
i was took into hospital a week ago today with a raging water infection and given antibiotics, i went for a check up yesterday and was told my sample was clear so the infection has gone but im still in as much pain when going to the bathroom and then last night i got the worst pain in my side, back and stomach and im boiling hot but got the shakes feeling cold, does anyone know whether this could be a kidney infection iv got 2 days of antibiotics left, but dont know whether i should contact the hospital again? I had cystitis a few weeks ago, and even after I had finished the antibiotics I had quite a lot of pain - sometimes just when urinating and sometimes it was constant. I think that your urinary tract/bladder/kidney are probably a bit damaged after such an infection and what you eat and drink can have an impact on your level of discomfort...for example one day I ate chillies and the next day i was in at lot of pain. Also acidic drinks can make it worse. call your dr. what you describe sounds like sepsis. this could be dangerous im not sure but maybe its cystitis i had that when i was pregnant try drinking cranberry juice hope you get better soon and have a great xmas Yes, contact the hospital, I had symptoms not dissimilar to yours and I had a bad infection. Phone them a.s.a.p. Sweetie...it's flu season!! Honey, you're pregnant. The baby bears down on your bladder. Pain in the side, back and stomach could also be due to pregnancy. I had a kidney infection at 38 weeks and it brought on labour even though I was on antibiotics so ring the maternity unit as soon as possible and tell them your symptoms.Good luck xxxx |
