What risks are involved with long-term IV antibiotics in toddlers? |
My daughter has a picc line and has been recieving iv antibiotics for about 6 weeks now. I have to take her to the doctor in a few days to get more blood tests done because previous labs showed one of her levels was low due to being on antibiotics for so long. I was never told what exactly was low. Any one know more about this? The only thing I can think of is her becoming resistant to that family of antibiotics. Why is she on them? |
