I have had MRSA for 22 years help!!!? |
I started with the boils after having surgery done when I was 18, I have had about 40 cut and drained and treated with antibiotics, one Dr. told me it was ingrown hairs, another told me to loose 20 pounds and it would help, Then I was treated with iv drugs for 3 months it was vancomiocyn??? within 4 days of being off the drug they came back, the Dr. told me that it was a chronic illness the there was nothing more that they could do I do take zinc and selinium and it seems to help, the boils are only half the size , but I want it gone, it seems to be worse around my period, any answers out there?? in the last 22 years I have been on every medication under the sun for this. Go to Herbalhealer.com and you can consult with a naturopathic doctor online when you become a member(both for free). She has helped me many times over the years and knows her stuff, good luck. Try limu moui, it has all kinds of vitamins and minerals, and fucoidan. www.thefirst.originallimu.com/ It has been known to give your body what it needs to heal itself. Its cheaper if you sign on as a distributer. Try it for a couple of months, you have nothing to lose and much to gain. Many people have MRSA either as an active infection or as a silent carrier, but your case is indeed unusual. I'm sorry, but I think that your best hope is in new antibiotics as they are developed in the future. What kind of MD are you using? I suggest an infectious disease specialist. They will be most familiar with new meds coming to market to treat MRSA IF you've had MRSA for 22 yrs. then it's been colonized for nearly all that time. Once the Staph a. colonizes it's there forever. IF you have MRSA right now then you are a chronic carrier. MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphyloccocus aureus. It would've been the antibiotic methicillin that you had for 3 months. Vancomycin can result in VRE (vancomycin-resistant enteroccocus) not MRSA. Staph a. is the culprit behind boils, abcesses & carbuncles. I strongly suggest that, if you're not already being followed by an Infectious Disease specialist, you see one. Herbals, vitamins, supplements or any homeopathic "treatments" aren't going to cure this very resistant bacteria. I have had patients who colonized and any patient with MRSA is kept in contact isolation. I hope you are observing this for yourself. I'm not aware of anything that can be done now but perhaps an ID specialist will have some ideas. I'm terribly sorry. But don't give up hope just yet. MRSA is methicillin resistant staphlococcus auerus. Meaning this is a disease resistant to drugs. Vancomyicin is one of the last drugs doctors have available that can help. However MRSA is now becoming resistant to the vancomyicin now too. There is nothing the doctors can do to you. It is highly contagious too. You should stay away from all people especially your family if you dont want to spread it. Your family should be wearing face masks around you or at least you should wear masks. Also do not share food or drinks with anyone. Have you tried going to a Good Homeopathic Doctor ? |
