I have an infection somewhere but doc can't find.? |
On IV meds but WBC keeps rising. Email or IM me I am desperate. Came in hospital thru ER 10 days ago from extreme puking. Then a skin level absess was found and drained. WBC and SED rate are way up and rising. I'm on loads of prednisone and heavy antibiotics. Since I have RA they are keeping me to make sure it don't go sepsis. Any info is welcomed. I have my laptop here w/ me in hospital. Thanks ahead....Kerry in Idaho I am not sure what you mean by WBC and SED and RA . get a second opion try a different dr or hospital. or call 1-800-ask a nurse also try web md. Have ur doc tested ur bone marrow to see if the infection is there. And SED rate also indicates swelling perhaps in your joints or any internal tissue.....or your brain. Have they ulrasound your organs....catscan....tested ur urine or stool for other traces of bacteria or viruses? Best wishes it all works out..... Well at least you are on antibodies. Do not allow them to keep you on antibodies for long periods of time. |
