Woman qusetion about down there? |
I have this problem that im so embarrassed about as im such a clean person and always use special soaps for down there but for the past couple of months i had this strange smell down there i cant describe it and after sex it smells fishy. I can even smell it through clothes. Iv ignored it for a while but im getting really fed up of washing throughly and about a hour later it coming back again. I no it must be some infection but just wondered You should really go to the doctor and get some treatment. It could be one of many things. STD, yeast infection, bv, etc. Don't be embarrassed about the doctor. They have seen it a million times. And believe me...I am sure that they have seen much worse and embarassing things. Just go to a doctor that you are comfortable with that you can tell all of your symptoms to. If you don't tell them the full story, they can't help you. It is in fact probably an infection, and you should go and get it checked out. Don't be embarrassed to let the doc do his / her thing, they have already seen it a million times. I had a friend with the same issue, she went to the dr. he gave her something, it cleared up! Must be common. You might have a yeast infection. You can get mycostatin over the counter. You could call your Dr's office and speak to the nurse whom could be the middle "man" to your Dr. it does sound like BV and you gave it to yourself,. probably got it cause you are such a "clean person" and use all these special soaps "down there" STOP USING SOAPS AND DOUCHES AND YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT GET BV. didnt anyone tell you that stuff GIVES you BV? talk to your doctor or whoever told you the vagina needs to be washed out, it doesnt. sounds like a bacterial infection called gardnerella...but you should always get checked out by a doctor before self treating to make sure. I'm not going to tell you not to be embarrassed, because I am and i work in the medical field. But professionals see these things all the time and are not there to judge you, just treat you. Go to someone you trust, or go to planned parenthood, you can usually get a female doctor there because they will probably want to do a pap to rule out STI's. Hope all is well I think you should really visit your gynecologist. It might just be an infection , and then they might give you some antibiotics and it will clear away. I think that just to be sure, you should go and just GEtt a pap smear, just to be sure that it is nothing else.....You can always ge something over the counter but what if its something else. Another advice please dint wash with any "special soaps". My Gyno told me to use "dove" and not to wash the insides, because that can also cause infections....Good luck with everything!!! excessive washing in this area can upset the natural balance of the bacteria that live down there. Being too clean can actually cause the smells. |
