Hi all, I have a question about being hospitalized (and on an IV) and calories/fluid retention...?

Hi all,
I was hospitalized over the weekend with severe dehydration and kidney stones (NOT a fun weekend). Anyway, I was hooked to an iv and know that they alternated the plain saline drip with the one that has sugar in it. It has been about 30 hours since I left and I am SO swollen up, everywhere. Even my 'fat' jeans are tight.
I didn't eat anything from Friday afternoon to Sunday night and was sick to my stomach all weekend.
This isn't weight i've gained from the sugar iv, is it? I'm hoping it's just water retention from the fluids. If that's what it is, when will this swelling start to go down?
I'm currently taking phenegren (sp?) for the nausea and Lortab for the pain.
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, this could be from the fluid you got over the weekend but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
