Is putting alcohol in your IV drip indeed the fastest way of getting drunk?

Just thinking about what someone asked me earlier today, not actually planning on doing it.

It probably would be, but you'd also be getting other things in your bloodstream that your stomach would normally breakdown.

yep, at one time some bars sold alcohol in syringes that you could pump stright in.. nice...not.

oh what an earth shattering question. You want to get drunk then at least enjoy something to drink. Make sure you are not driving.

Another less painful way...I've accidentally done it....is to inhale vaporised alcohol.

Happens when you lean over the pan when 'deglazing' it with high proof brandy and breath in. WoAh! The alcohol goes through the lungs straight to the blood stream - next stop - BRAIN!! Headrush!

but it would be hard to do in a hospital... be easier to hook a bottle of JD to your iv...

although in reality it's a really bad idea - but funny imagery! LOL
