Period After the Injection Pill?

I had a termanation about 8 weeks ago and was only bleeding for one day, then didnt have a period for 5 weeks, went to my doctors and had the injection pill (Depo-Provera) now iv been bleeding for over 2 weeks now and in a lot of pain (like im in labour) Sometimes i cant move and have really bad mood swings, went back to the doctors and they gave me MEFENAMIC ACID TABLETS and they are not helping at all, the bleeding is still as heavy and the pain is still as strong.
Anyone got any ideas on what i should do, only been on these new pills for a week should i see if it works or go back to the doctors, has anyone else had any problems like this????

it's a hormone inbalance that causes mood swings and pain. it may be to high of a dose and your reacting to the chemicals. call your dr. and see if there is anything that he can perscribe for you. then look into a less invasive BC method. good luck

you can loose up to 9ml of blood

Depo provera isnt an injection "pill", it's just a hormone injection for birth control (also used for chemical castration of men).

Some women do experience breakthrough bleeding and other side effects on the injection. I'm not familiar with the pills (mefenamic) you were given nor did you say what they are for....however if you are still in pain and still bleeding when you feel you shouldn't be, then I'd keep after the doctor or find a new one until the situation gets under control.

Sorry you've had such a hard time. I've been on Depo for a decade and love it...no bad side effects, only a handful of light periods in 10 yrs, and it's been very effective birth control for me.

Take care of you...call the doc tomorrow even if you feel like you are pestering them...until you feel things are under control, don't just worry and wait...
