Does anyone in the medical profession know how a person acts after they get an IV injection of Versed?

Have you seen people who are under the effect of Versed? Are you in a medical profession? I was wondering if it is possible for a person to talk when they've had it. Are their eyes open? I know that it causes anterograde amnesia because I've had it several times and don't remember anything after about 30 seconds after it was injected into my IV. I find it very disturbing to have that memory loss without being fully unconscious. Any info. that you could give me would be helpful. Thanks.

oh god, next time they want to give you that REFUSE it!! There are so many other drugs that you can be given that don't cause these problems (quite often permanant problems.) The medical profession uses it because:
1.) it's cheap and they can charge the insurance companies a fourtune for it, leaving a large profit margin
2.) if they screw up, it's ok because the patient won't remember
3.) abuse the patient while he/she is under. lots of people wake up all bruised from being held down!!
4.) they don't have to pay an anestheologist to be in the room if they give you Versed, but they do if they give you Propofol...which is a MUCH better drug, but more expensive and they don't make much money by giving to the patient
