Im having IV sedation for a coscopy in 7 days. I was told it was ok to take my meds b4,?

including my diet pills (I took one 10mg phentermine yesterday) and mult-vitamins and asprin was ok. But, I had a nurse tell me NO, stop everything b4 the biopsy. but the DR said ok?

Do i listen to the dr or the nurse? I am confused

Because of having IV sedation that means an anesthesiologist will probably be present. I would recommend talking to someone in the anesthesia dept to find out what they say about this.

I ran in to something like this in 2003 and should have contacted my doctor at the time to find out. Well, when I had surgery last year (same doctor for same problem) I was told by the nurse that it was ok to take my pain medicine with a small sip of water. I said are you absolutely sure and she said yes. She said sometimes with some medicines she has to call over to Anesthesia and find out for sure about meds she's not familiar with.

So I would recommend talking to someone in anesthesia to find out for sure since there is such confusion.
