Is it possible to be a nurse and never give an IV? |
just curious. can I avoid it? You would have to learn to put in an IV during your nurses training. After that, there MIGHT be a few jobs you could get that wouldn't involve IV's. I think that insurance companies hire nurses to review paperwork for necessary procedures, etc. i'm not a nurse but i've had a ton of family members who have been in the hospital and every time i went i'd always see at least one nurst putting in an iv. i'm guessing the answer is no lol. I don't think so. Unless you were a nurse in a private practice psyc. office or something like that. |
